SUNSETS: Behold one … They hold the lessons for a lifetime
By Ankita Shrivastav, an engineer turned photographer based out of Bhopal
What comes to your mind first when you see a sunset? Yes, indeed the red sky and happy colours. Ever noticed when sky gains the colour everything here at earth becomes black? Everything stops reflecting colours as if nature itself wants us to notice the sunset and doesn’t want us to distract through other colours. Well, that’s the beauty of nature.
But I think there is more to a sunset. We all wake up in the morning and start our day, meet people, talk, learn, grow and exchange stories. We live a whole new day with whole new experiences, desires and hopes. We become a day older and a bit wiser each day. Do you not think that we live life as a character in a story and we share our stories with others while others connect theirs with us and that’s how a whole new chapter begins every day.
When you finish your day with all the wisdom, sunset is natures way to celebrate that day. Sunset celebrates that feeling of going home. It celebrates the coming of tomorrow. I feel it is the feeling of liberation at the end of the day and never looking back. To me they are just a nature’s way of a perfect happy ending.
