Suhas Kumar
An officer from the Indian Forest Service, Suhas Kumar retired as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests from the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department. Out of his 35 years in forest service, he spent 23 years managing, supervising and guiding the management of national parks, sanctuaries and tiger reserves of the state. A Ph.D. in Environment and Ecology, Kumar has also obtained some special qualifications and trainings in Nature Interpretation and Ecotourism from the US, UK and Australia. At present he is a member of the Chhattisgarh State Board for Wildlife, WWF- India, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh State Advisory Board and the Governing body and Council of National Centre for Human Settlement and Environment (NCHSE), Bhopal. He is also a member of the Delhi Biodiversity Society. His write-ups, research papers and case-studies have been published in books, magazines, newspapers and on many online platforms.
